Jocelyn has dedicated her 28-year career to seniors. She worked as a Clinical Dietitian, a Nutrition Services Manager and a Nursing Services Manager in long-term care homes in BC and Alberta. She was inspired being part of organizations such as Inglewood Care Centre, Marriott Management Services and ASK (Arbutus, Shaughnessy, Kerrisdale) Friendship Society. Jocelyn has a Master of Health Administration (MHA) degree from the University of British Columbia (UBC). Her thesis on BC hospital bed-blockers showed that the number of hospital bed days taken up by seniors awaiting discharge is equally divided by those waiting to go home, and those waiting to go to long term care. Given this information about the real need for home care, along with her experience of having her father pass away at home, Jocelyn turned her focus from long term care to home care.
Director of Development/Owner
Eric has over 25 years experience in sales, marketing, and management with companies in Boston, Silicon Valley, and Vancouver. He grew up in Toronto and Edmonton, moved to Vancouver in high school, and started managing businesses right after graduating from UBC. Like most sales people, Eric always dreamed of owning his own business, so he partnered with his sister, Jocelyn, to start a Premier Homecare Services franchise on the West Coast.
Elaine Wong, Administrative Associate
Elaine immigrated to Vancouver from China when she was very young. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Simon Fraser University (SFU) and worked in the accounting and administration field for many years. Elaine is excellent in organizing the office and keeping things on track. She especially enjoys conversing with the seniors at the group foot care sessions that she runs.
Aman Grewal, LPN, Certified Advanced Foot Care Nurse
Aman works as a Licensed Practice Nurse in a psychiatric hospital. She obtained her Advanced Foot Care diploma from the Vancouver Island University. Aman has worked with Premier Homecare Services Vancouver Westside since 2010, providing group foot care to seniors in retirement homes, and mobile foot care to seniors living in their own homes in the community. Aman is passionate about healthy feet and has an excellent rapport with her clients.
Emma Macdonald, RN Consultant
Emma worked as a Registered Nurse in Acute Care in a hospital in the Philippines. She immigrated to Vancouver under the live-in caregiver program. During that time she studied hard and obtained her BC Registered Nurse status. She currently works with seniors as a nurse at the Transitional Care Unit at UBC Hospital, which is a step-down unit between the hospital and going home. Premier Homecare Vancouver Westside is fortunate to have Emma on our team, consulting on clinical home healthcare issues, performing hands-on teaching to the Health Care Assistants, and doing assessments for unstable clients.
