Free In-Home Assessment
The first step to improving your quality of life is booking a free assessment with Premier Homecare Services Vancouver Westside. An owner, client care co-ordinator or supervisor always conducts in-home consultations, which allows us to understand your needs and wants. It also gives clients the chance to see who will be supervising their care.
The assessment takes roughly one hour and requires you to answer a series of questions that will help us understand how we should customize your care plan. Please feel free to invite any family members that want to attend, especially if it adds to your level of comfort.
The whole point of the assessment is to fully understand you, your medical conditions, and your likes and dislikes.
Questions we might ask include:
- Do you have any allergies?
- Have you had any falls recently?
- Do you need help with bathing, if so, do you prefer a bath or shower?
- Do you need help getting dressed or undressed?
- What medications do you take?
- What activities do you enjoy doing? Do you like to read, watch TV, go for a walk, play cards, and have friends over for tea?
Once we’ve asked all the necessary questions, a quick Home Safety Assessment will be done in order to make sure all precautions are taken to ensure your home is as safe as possible. The goal is to reduce the risk of falls due to loose rugs or mats, and to make sure places like the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom are safe.
No Obligation Service Agreement
After the assessment is finished, a care plan can be created based on your requests, needs, and budget. Remember, we want to ensure you retain independence at home. This is your care plan, so if you don’t like something or want to add something, just let us know and we’ll make it happen. Your feedback will be crucial in determining whether or not we meet your expectations.
If you decide that Premier Homecare Services Vancouver Westside is the company for you, a Service Agreement will be signed. All the details regarding our policies and procedures are provided on the agreement. Our caregivers only enter your home with the utmost respect. The Service Agreement can be cancelled at the client’s request. All we ask is that you give us a reasonable amount of time to get adjusted (generally a couple of weeks based on the frequency of your needs) and we believe our service will speak for itself.
Matching you up with the right caregiver is important to us. Sometimes a slight adjustment will need to be made. If you feel the need to request a different caregiver, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are more than willing to accommodate you. A meeting can be done in person to voice concerns and find a caregiver that is a better match for you.
We have representatives available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, allowing you and your family peace of mind knowing there is always someone there to help. We’ll be there to answer your call. Being on-call at all times offers a measure of security unmatched by most other home care providers.
Our flexible hours allow you to control when and for how long caregivers come to assist you. Care plans can start from as little as three hours per visit, whether that be daily, weekly, or monthly. The choice is completely yours to make. We offer 24/7 and live-in care, meaning someone is always available to help. Our Share the Care program offers cheaper rates if you don’t require many hours per visit and want to split the services with a friend.
